New Safe & Sound Training and Development Officer Vacancy at the DRC

The Safe and Sound post is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking organisation to deliver a project in Birmingham and Solihull to support disabled people and those with long term health conditions. This will include a range of activities and supports to safeguard and protect vulnerable adults from harm. The aim is to build skills and know- how to support independent living and develop resilience to face adverse situations.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven candidate with a proven track record in the successful delivery of training; experience in working with people with a disability and long term health conditions; experience in supporting those who have been the victim of hate crime/abuse; experience of peer support development and advocacy; and previous experience of supporting and empowering clients who have experienced exclusion and isolation. The work is funded through a number of sources, including Birmingham City Council’s Third Sector Funding and therefore supports the council’s Prevent First Strategy.

 

Candidates must hold an NQF level 3 or equivalent qualification in advice and guidance and/or a relevant level 3 teacher / training qualification.
