Hours: Full Time ( 36.5 Hours) Fixed Term to the 31 July 2020

Salary: NJC SCP 9 - 19, £20,344 - £24,799


The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is one of the leading disability organisations operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands. 


Our mission is ‘to build a sustainable business to empower disabled people to take control of their own lives and to actively seek out opportunities to achieve their full potential as individuals in mainstream society’.  This is at the heart of everything we do.


We are seeking to appoint an Information and Advice Officer who will be part of DRC’s Help! For Disabled project which is funded by the Lottery. The work will invove the provision of effective information and advice services for disabled people. This will include telephone and  and on-line channels and the production of a monthly newsletter. The role will include the induction, training and supervision of project volunteers and Apprentice. The role will also be linked to DRC’s Improved Access to Psychologigal Therapies(IAPT) service, whereby the post holder will provide administrative case management support to the service.


We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven candidate with a proven commitment to high quality third sector delivery of services to address adult welfare, health, social and personal needs. A commitment to equal opportunities, vulnerable adults and working with people with a disability and long term health conditions is essential.


Candidates must hold a degree qualification or equivalent. A qualification such as the Level 3 in Advice and Guidance qualification would be desirable.
