News and events

DRC open today - Wednesday 13th December 2017

Wednesday 13th December 2017 the DRC will be open today but if you are making your way to our centre at Mackadown Lane, please take care as side roads remain icy and wet in places.

The DRC centre and office at IHWC, Mackadown Lane, Kitts Green will be closing this afternoon (Tuesday 12th December 2017) at 3pm due to an updated cold weather warning.

As long as it is not snowing heavily, we hope to open as usual tomorrow morning (Wednesday) though this will be dependent on weather conditions. Tomorrow's activities include coffee morning and taxi driver training.

If you are due to attend at IHWC tomorrow, please contact us before setting out in poor or dangerous weather conditions.

Snow disrupts DRC services

Icy roads and snow have disrupted DRC's services today on Monday 11th December as staff and volunteers struggle to get to our centre at Kitts Green.

There will be minimal staff cover at the centre this morning but with temperatures dropping again later today we are planning to close the centre at around midday.

If you need to contact us about planned services today please call 03030 40 20 40 before midday or leave a message on our answer phone and we will try to get back to you.
